Kate Loves Willy

I know lots of people are probably sick of hearing about the wedding but I can’t help but share my experience of the day.

I woke up the morning after with a slightly fuzzy hangover and an urgent need for coffee. Turned on the news to catch the highlights of the day to hear that almost 19 million people in the UK watch the event on TV and that 2 Billion caught the live footage across the globe!

I am fortunate enough to live in this great city only a couple of miles away from where all the action took place so naturally I had to be nosy. I got to Trafalgar Square just in time before the security closed it off. Friends of mine managed to get to The Mall so between us we had 2 hotspots covered.

The day was a celebration…obviously for the newly married couple but also (and for me, more importantly) it was a celebration of all things British. Spirits were high and the atmosphere was great. The sea of Union Jacks waving was a sight that made the hairs on my neck stand on end.

I was proudly wearing my Union Jack which became an invitation for people to come up to me wanting a photo taken with me…These were random people with one thing in common. None of them were British but they were still loving the festivities and celebrations of the day.

I’ll keep this one brief…So to His Royal Highness and his new bride, Congratulation and thanks for the day off.

Also, Pippa Middleton, if your reading...call me ;)

Amazing moment when The Battle of Britain memorial fly directly over Hyde Park
